Maths Problem Solving

1 comment:

  1. Hi Lepa,

    PROBLEM 2:

How many biscuits are there in total (that is, how may equal parts make up the whole)? (you have answered this)
How many biscuits does Kira put sprinkles on? (you have answered this)

Now, remember that the denominator is the bottom number of the fraction (and represents the number of equal parts that make up the total/whole) and the numerator is the top number of the fraction (and represents the number of these equal parts which you are interested in).

So what fraction of the the biscuits had sprinkles?

Could you now work out what fraction of the biscuits did not have sprinkles?
